애플사에서 Apple TV+ trial 7월까지 연장 (미국)

 

 

 

9to5Mac 에 따르면 애플에서 현재 진행중인 애플 TV플러스의 1년 시범 사용을 21년 7월까지 연장하기로 했다. Trial 은 아이폰, 아이패드 맥, 애플 티비 와 같은 애플 제품 구매시 제공해주었다. 원래 계획은 20년 11월까지 무료 제공이었다. 하지만 이번 연장 발표로 7월 까지 사용 가능하게 되었다.

 

무료 구독을 한 구독자들은 21년 2월에 만기되기로 되었으나 7월로 연장되었다. 이번 연장안은 제품의 출시 연기뒤에 나왔다. 현재 서비스가 시작한지 하나의 작품만 (Dickinson) 두번째 시즌 프리미어를 가졌다. 다른 For all Mankind, The morning Show, See 와 같은 작품은 여전히 시즌2가 나오기를 기다리고 있다.

 

코로나 바이러스러 인한 작품들의 발표 연기는 이해할 만하다. 서비스 기간의 연장은 사용자들에게 다행스러운 일이다. 구독자들은 자신들이 좋아하는 작품의 2번째 시즌을 달 $4.99 유료 전에 보길 원할 것이다. 서비스 연장안이 아마 가능하게 할 것이다. 결국, 작품에 12개의 에피소드 밖에 없다면 많은 구독자 유치가 어려울 것이다.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple will be extending its free year-long trials of its TV Plus service to customers until July 2021. The trials were originally included with the purchase of any Apple device (e.g., an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV) and were initially set to last until November 1st, 2020. This is the second extension, with the first extending from November 2020 to February 2021.

 

Subscribers who had free subscriptions that were set to expire any time from February 2021 to June 2021 will also get an extension until July. The extension comes in the wake of production delays. Only one of the shows the service launched with (Dickinson) has had its second season premiere, while others — like For All Mankind, The Morning Show, and See — are still waiting for their second seasons to come out.

 

Show productions being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic is no surprise, and extending the trial is a nice gesture. Viewers probably would like to start watching the second seasons of their favorite shows before they decide whether the service is worth $4.99 a month, and the extension is giving them the ability to do so. After all, there’s not a ton of use in a TV subscription service if some shows only have 12 episodes.
